Queso has zero tolerance for harassment, threats, and other abusive behaviour. You can report anyone — from inside the app or by email — and we act on every report. Here's exactly how to do it, how we check it, and how quickly we respond.

Email [email protected]

Report from inside the app

The fastest way to report someone is right where it happened:

  1. Open the chat or the person's profile.
  2. Tap the name at the top, or the ⋯ menu, and choose Report.
  3. Pick a reason — harassment, threats, spam, impersonation, sexual content, or something else.
  4. Submit. On Queso Network chats, the recent messages from that conversation are attached to your report so our team can review what actually happened.

You can report and block in the same place, and you never have to tell the other person you've done either.

Report by email

You can also report abuse without opening the app. Email [email protected] and include as much as you can:

  • The @handle of the person you're reporting (and the network — Queso, WhatsApp or Telegram).
  • What happened, and when.
  • Screenshots or other evidence, if you have them.

This is the right channel for anyone — including people who don't use Queso — to report content or conduct involving a Queso account.

What happens next

Every report is handled by a person, not just an algorithm.

  • We acknowledge it. You get confirmation that your report was received.
  • We verify it. We review the evidence attached to the report — the messages you included, screenshots, and account signals — against our rules. We don't act on an accusation alone.
  • We decide and act. Depending on what we find, we issue a warning, remove the offending account's ability to contact you, suspend it, or permanently ban it. For the most serious cases we remove the account from the Queso Network entirely.
  • We tell you the outcome where we can, and you can reply if you think we got it wrong.

Making a deliberately false report, or using reports to harass someone, is itself a violation and can get your own account actioned.

How quickly we respond

  • Within 24 hours — we acknowledge your report.
  • Within 72 hours — most reports are fully reviewed and resolved.
  • Within 24 hours — the most serious cases (credible threats, child sexual abuse material, or an imminent risk of harm) are prioritised and actioned.

These are the targets we hold ourselves to. If a case is complex we'll keep you updated rather than leave you waiting.

Block someone yourself — instantly

You don't have to wait for us to stop someone reaching you. Open the chat, tap the name, and choose Block. Blocking is immediate and takes effect on your device right away:

  • They can no longer message or call you.
  • The conversation is hidden from your inbox.
  • They're not told that you've blocked them.

You can unblock anyone later from Settings → Blocked. Blocking and reporting work together — we recommend doing both for serious cases.

Illegal content & emergencies

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

We report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and we cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement. Content and conduct that breaks the law has no place on Queso.

A note on encryption

Chats and calls on the Queso Network are end-to-end encrypted, which means we cannot read them on our servers and never scan your conversations. That's by design — and it's exactly why an in-app report attaches the relevant messages for you, from your device and with your consent, so our team has the context it needs to act. Messages you exchange over WhatsApp and Telegram are governed by those services too; you can report within those apps as well.

See how the encryption works on our Security page, and what we do and don't collect in our Privacy Policy.

In the app, tap Report on any chat — or email us and we'll take it from there.
